Adderal is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.
If you have even a mild case of high blood pressure, take Adderal with caution. Be careful, too, about driving or operating machinery until you know how this drug affects you. It may impair judgment and coordination.
Adderal can cause tics and sometimes twitching. Tell your doctor if you or anyone in your family has experienced this . Amphetamines such as Adderal have also been known to cause synergistic effects disturbed (psychotic) individuals.

Anyone with the following

Overactive thyroid

Glaucoma

A history of drug abuse
- High body temperature
- Coma
- Seizures (convulsions)

Drug and Food Interactions:
Adderall may have synergistic effects with other medicines which can cause serious side effects. Tell your doctor about all medicines, vitamins, and supplements you take, especially:- Depression treatment drugs such as, tricyclic antidepressants and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)
- Antacids(Tums, Rolaids)
- urinary problem drugs and treatments
- Diuretics(products that cause urination)
- A pain medication called Propoxyphene (Otherwise Known as Darvon and Darvocet)
